Home Repair Worker
Organization: Community Home Repair Projects of Arizona
So much more than just home repair, in this position you will learn valuable skills while giving dignity and assistance to low-income households in the Tucson area. (CHRPA is accepting up to 3 volunteers).
Adult Basic Literacy Program Assistant
Organization: Literacy Connects
Interested in adult education and the connection between justice and access to education? Work as an integral member of the Literacy Connects’ ABL team to deliver high-quality, free literacy and GED preparation classes to adult learners at various locations around Tucson.
Site/Volunteer Coordinator
Organization: Casa Alitas
This is for the individual who is interested in learning more about the complex issues surrounding immigration while offering compassion and care to migrants. Casa Alitas is often the first place asylum seekers receive hospitality and dignity once they have entered the US and you can be part of this life-changing work.
Refugee Outreach Coordinator
Organization: Iskashitaa Refugee Network
Iskashitaa is about more than helping refugees resettle in Tucson, and it is about more than harvesting produce and learning job skills (although those are all important!). Iskashitaa is about building community and connection across different languages and cultures. It is about creating a sense of home and belonging.
Legal Orientation & Administrative Assistant – Adult Detention Program
Organization: The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project
The mission of the Florence Project is to provide free legal and social services to detained adults and unaccompanied children facing immigration removal proceedings in Arizona. The vision of the Florence Project is to ensure that all immigrants facing removal have access to counsel, understand their rights under the law, and are treated fairly and humanely.
Communications Coordinator and Indigenous Solidarity Organizer
Organization: The Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery Coalition
This is the work of repairing the damages done by colonialism, particularly to indigenous populations. This is the work of restoration and reconciliation done in a spirit of love. Learn more about the ongoing struggles of indigenous populations with both on the ground work, and in developing a communications plan to widen engagement.
River Run Network Program Coordinator
Organization: Watershed Management Group
This is a position for those interested in environmental work and with a passion for making positive strides toward change in our communities. The River Run Network seeks to restore Tucson’s heritage of flowing creeks and rivers. This position includes scientific work as well as creek walks and hands-on work.

Casa Alitas is a humanitarian aid project committed to providing assistance to asylum-seekers released from ICE and Border Patrol detention into our community. Volunteers offer support by providing hospitality, including housing, food, clothing, toiletries, advocacy, and travel assistance. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, comfortable, safe and healthy location for the guests to await their journeys, and to prepare them to reunite with family across the country.
